The town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia
Narrative
Unravels the mystery of a town in the middle of the United States that imprisons anyone who enters. As the residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. The site, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc.
When Boyd enters a distant tree he finds himself at the bottom of a well
(all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. The paved roads and driveways were all that remained and the fictional town was built on top of them. A rope is lowered to him by (presumably) Martin in the room above, despite his wrists being shackled.
This show was so much better than I expected
Featured in Half in the Bag: 2022 Mid-Year Catch-Up Part 1 (TV Shows) (2022). Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans Starring the Pixies. I thought the whole premise didn’t have much potential, but then again, it was something else.
But I have to say, after the finale, I was blown away!
However, I still find myself with so many questions that need to be answered, especially after the last scenes of the season 2 finale (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). I just think we deserved at least some answers before we have to wait for season 3. I just hope the creators of the show keep it up to par and why not, even improve it.
This one has potential
I’m tired of seeing good shows completely ruined by the creators. If all the questions are answered logically and interestingly, and if we get an intriguing finale that includes everyone going home, this will definitely be one of the best shows out there.
