I saw this at the film’s premiere in Cannes. OH, CANADA is a very original film, a true work of art, by one of the masters of cinema.
It features beautiful cinematography and excellent production design
The film is beautifully crafted with a strong visual look. The acting is strong, especially Richard Gere, who plays the title role.
It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s one of Paul Schrader’s finest achievements, and a gift for film lovers
He gives a great and memorable performance in the vein of Jack Nicholson in Five Easy Pieces – a complex, not always likable but engaging character. Recommended.
